"There was a man who had a horse and he told him to go into a bacano (volcano), and it beginned to go into it! And then the cowboy started to turn into a ghost cowboy, and the horse turned into a ghost horse. Then he beginned to tell the ghost horse to get out of the bacano 'cause there was steps, so the horse started to climb out, and they beginned to go back to normal!"
Rhys has a Halloween party today at pre-school, so he felt inspired to tell me a scary ghost story, complete with torch under his chin! LOL
The World According to Rhys
Rhys is my 3 year old son. This is a record of some of the nonsense and/or genius that comes from his brilliant little mind.

Superhero Confusion!
"Mammy, when Harry Potter dies and loses his wand, he has to eat a little bit of banana to make him really strong and make him into Superman!"
Eh........ ok Rhys, think you're a bit confused between Harry Potter, Bananaman and Superman LOL!

Aw, the things they worry about
Watching Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone this afternoon, Rhys came out with the following.
Rhys: "Mammy, why is Harry sad?"
Me: "Because he doesn't have a mammy and daddy any more."
Rhys: "Oh no! So does that mean he has to cross the road all by himself?"
It's funny the tiny details that worry them sometimes LOL.

When all else fails, change your mind
Rhys is really struggling with his 'R's' at the minute. Whilst out with his daddy, they passed a girl drawing on the road with chalks.
Rhys: "Daddy, I want to draw on the woad like that girl"
Daddy: "It's road, not woad"
Rhys: "Woad"
Daddy: "No, road"
Rhys: "Woad!"
Daddy: ""Road"
Rhys: "No, I mean the path"
Rhys: "Daddy, I want to draw on the woad like that girl"
Daddy: "It's road, not woad"
Rhys: "Woad"
Daddy: "No, road"
Rhys: "Woad!"
Daddy: ""Road"
Rhys: "No, I mean the path"
The first proper joke Rhys has ever told me
Where does a crocodile keep his money?
In the riverbank!

An oldie but it was SO funny
This was a few months ago now, but I can't help sharing, it had me in hysterics.
On the way back from creche, one gorgeously sunny afternoon, we walked past a group of teenagers chilling out and relaxing on the grass verge, enjoying the sun.
Rhys: "Mammy, why is that boy lying on the grass?"
Me: "'Cos it's a nice day, and he wants to."
Rhys: "But it's not a bed," .....then he thought about it for a few seconds..... "it's a flower bed, but not a bed!"
Something fishy about The Teddy Bears' Picnic
"Mammy, if you go down to the woods today, in disguise....the police will come!"
